Dr. J.G.L.M. Luermans

Dr Luermans graduated from medicine (with honours) in Maastricht. Later he completed training as a cardiologist and electrophysiologist at St. Antonius hospital in Nieuwegein, simultaneously completing his Ph.D. at Utrecht University. 
Since 2014, he has worked as cardiologist and electrophysiologist at MUMC+. His specialisations include cardiac arrhythmia, with a focus on treatments involving catheter ablation and electronic implants (pacemakers and internal defibrillators). He also works at the atrial fibrillation outpatient clinic in Maastricht, a specialist clinic for patients with this common form of arrhythmia.
