About
Dr. VLRM Verstraeten is op 1 juli 2003 Summa cum Laude afgestudeerd als arts aan de Universiteit Gent, Belgie. Op 1 september 2003 begon zij in het Maastricht Universitair Medisch Centrum een AGIKO Dermatologie opleiding (Arts Geneeskundige In opleiding tot Klinisch Onderzoeker Dermatologie) van 8 jaar met daarbij tijd voor basaal moleculair onderzoek in combinatie met de opleiding tot dermatoloog. Van mei 2007 tot september 2010 deed zij onderzoek aan Harvard Medical School te Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Op 4 maart 2011 is zij cum Laude gepromoveerd aan de Univeristeit Maastricht. Sinds augustus 2013 is zij staflid in het Maastricht Universitair Medisch Centrum met als aandachstgebieden systeemziekten, laser, pathologie, biologicals en allergologie .
