Campus downtown Maastricht

From the inner working UM solutions for social issues in the fields of business, law and culture. Think of global and regional challenges such as sustainability, security, tax regimes, international law, migration and greater valorization of art and culture. The other UM campuses are strong thematic profiled and need knowledge, for instance (international) business, governance and technology. That's exactly what UM develops from the inner city and actively contributes to Knowledge As Limburg.

Initiatives

Concrete initiatives from the city in this area include the Maastricht Centre for Entrepreneurship (MC4E), the Service Science Factory (SSF) and the Master of Sustainability Science & Policy at ICIS (International Centre for Integrated Assessment.

New initiatives

By strengthening and broadening the supply of training and (applied) research builds UM on its base. With numerous new initiatives is indented on global trends and issues such as "High Growth Markets, Sustainable Energy, Global & Regional Studies.
At the regional level it has to trends such as the growing needs of the labor market well-trained staff including knowledge of international trade, the necessary professionalism in the Limburg education and further profiling of the city as the (international) cultural center of the region.
