Advice in connection with the coronavirus

To prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), our advice is as follows:

  • we would prefer you not to visit our patients;
  • if you do want to visit, please observe the rule of one visitor per patient per day.

Conditions for visitors to the corona wards (A1 and Acute Admission Ward)

  • Maximum of 1 visitor per patient and per 24 hours, in line with the policy of non-COVID wards;
  • Each visitor will be given a surgical nose and face mask. Due to the scarcity of material, this is the only personal protection equipment provided. Gloves are available in the room and can be worn if necessary;
  • Good hand hygiene. Visitors must wash OR disinfect their hands, both when entering and leaving the room;
  • After seeing a patient, visitors must leave the hospital immediately by the shortest route;
  • A maximum of one visitor at a time is allowed in a room for two or more patients;
  • Stay at least 1.5 metres away from other people.

On the Intensive Care Unit, patients infected by the coronavirus (or suspected of being infected) are allowed a visit from 1 person per day for a maximum of 30 minutes. The time will be arranged in consultation with the nurse who is caring for the patient.

We understand that there is nothing you want more than to see your loved one, but we want to limit the spread of the virus as much as possible.You are always welcome to contact us by telephone.

Thank you for your cooperation and your understanding.

For patients who are not infected or suspected of having a Covid-19 infection, we apply the MUMC+ rule of 1 visitor per patient per day. Please arrange the time of your visit by telephone with the nurse on the unit.
