If you are unable to come to hospital on the day you are scheduled for admission, please let the Admission Office know so that we can admit another patient instead.
Postponement of admission
It may happen that your admission to hospital or your surgery has to be postponed, for example because another patient requires emergency surgery or because there is no bed for you in the ward. If you are still at home, we will let you know about the postponement as soon as possible and reschedule your procedure. Even after you are admitted, your surgery could still be cancelled. There may be medical reasons for this, for example if you have the flu or your blood test results are poor. It is also possible that other patients' operations took longer that day due to unforeseen circumstances. We will let you know immediately and reschedule your admission date.
