Children's orthopedics and spine surgery
Lodewijk van Rhijn was born in 1962 in the former Dutch New Guinea.
In 1990, he completed his medical studies at the University of Amsterdam. In 1996, he completed his training as an orthopedic surgeon.
Since 1998 he has worked in the MUMC +. In 2005 he received his PhD in Dynamics and Relationships in idiopathic scoliosis. "Three years later, the inauguration as Professor of Orthopaedic Biotechnology. In 2010 he was appointed head / trainer and the Department of Orthopedics.
His subspecialty is concerned children Orthopaedics and spine surgery. His specific area of interest concerns the scoliosebehandeling in children / young adults.
In addition to his clinical work, he held various management positions within the MUMC +. He is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the Dutch Orthopaedic Association.
