I have an appointment at the hospital. How does the system work now?

 

The Maastricht UMC+ is gradually restarting its regular health services. We're expanding our health services in phases in order to strike a good balance between corona virus care and regular health services.

Not all patients will be able to return to our hospital at the same time. We understand that you'll be wondering when your hospital appointment will be scheduled and you will be allowed to come back to the hospital.

If you have a hospital appointment in the near future, you will probably be curious to see how the system works now. To prepare for your visit, please read the information below. Not everything will be as you may have been used to. Please be aware that these changes are there to protect your own health and that of our staff.

We would ask you to be at the hospital no earlier than 10 minutes before your appointment. If you're earlier, please wait outside or in your car and don't come in sooner.

Please follow your walking route in the hospital indicated by lines on the floor. In places where patients or staff can't pass at the same time, there are waiting areas where you can wait at a distance of 1.5 metres from others (2 feet, about two arms’ length).

Our staff will be wearing protective equipment during physical examinations. They do so to protect your and their own health. This equipment could consist of a surgical mask, an apron, gloves and a face visor. This looks different but, once again: it's for everyone's safety.
